Biography, Barnes and Brevity

The new Ref 21 policy of needing to write an essay for the simplest of blog posts and 'why use 10 words when 10,000 will do' has left most of us longing for the good old days of controversy.  I will try to resist this all powerful new regime with brevity.
Peter Barnes' book 'Light Unto my Feet - how God has used his Word through the ages' is a terrific read, 107 church history characters sketched out in a few pages. Some are well known but some are a wonderful surprise. Peter Barnes writes delightfully, he's an Australian Presbyterian Minister and even writes interesting things in the Banner of Truth magazine which is not an easy thing to do.  Light unto my feet is ideal for biography at bedtime and a great intro into church history. Highly, highly recommended
