Nichols is Getting the Blues

It's all very well for Trotter to boast of a free copy of Steve's new book, Getting the Blues. Nice one!  But i bought my copy mate just to add to Steve's 401K! Now, my claim to fame is a visit to hear B. B. King in Jackson, Mississippi, with Steve last summer at some questionable joint in the down-town area. And a right couple of charlies we were.

Have to confess, though I own several thosuand CDs, not one of them could be labelled "blues" unless I include Wotan singing, "Leb' wohl, du kühnes, herrliches Kind!" as he binds his errant daughter, Brünnhilde, to the rock before the fire-god, Loge, kindles the flame around her. That's blues alright!

Steve's book is a wonder in itself. It even includes some blues lyrics written by him! 

I'm off to learn some blues lingo and get up to speed.  You should do the same!
