New Baxter MS published by Banner
Posted by
I see that my pal, Steve Burlew, at Banner of Truth, has arranged for the publication of a rare Baxter volume entitled Anger Management, a series of lectures given at the Puritan Management and Leadership Expo in the astrodome at Accrington Stanley in 1656. You can buy it here. Future titles in the series will apparently include Male Grooming by William Perkins, Improving Your Golf by Doomsday Sedgwick, The John Owen Diet (with a great chapter on the effects of warm beer in dispelling `the vapours') and the classic Feng Shui for Busy Pastors by Martyn Lloyd-Jones (the uncritically hagiographical, and, I might add, thoroughly appropriate, introduction by Del Thomas makes this long-out-of-print gem a must-read for Celtic nostalgia junkies). Who says the Puritans don't speak to the concerns of today's Christians?
