Rush -- no, not that one.

This Wednesday, amid fear of being `whacked' by the Taffia, and with rumours that the Keystone Kops were about to name me as a `person of interest' in their undercover investigation into the recent sinister disappearance of a high-profile member of the Reformed community, I went into hiding.
Late in the day a friend called and asked what I'd been doing all day.  `Listiening to Rush, loud, on my stereo' was my reply.  `Why, I never saw a lefty like you as a Limbaugh man.'  my friend replied. But of course, I wasn't talking about Limbaugh; rather it was the classic rock band of `Working Man' fame that filled my day.

Still, it raised once again for me the issue of whether Christians should listen to pop-culture figures who ride rough-shod in their private lives over traditional Christian values regarding drugs and marriage.  Well, call me a liberal, a left-libertarian, or simply a two-kingdom Lutheran type of guy, but if Christians want to listen to Rush Limbaugh, I think they should feel free so to do.

As to the Keystone Kops.  My prediction?  Coming soon to a blog near you:  `It's Official: Trueman is Jack the Ripper!!'   Those Kops always get their man, you know.
