It is my pleasure to announce that the Reverend Dr. Guy Prentiss Waters will join the faculty of Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi on June 1, 2007, as Associate Professor of New Testament. Guy is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (B.A.), Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (M.Div.), and Duke University (Ph.D.).

Guy is a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America, and a leader in the Mississippi Valley Presbytery (PCA), where he has served as the Chairman of the Credentials Committee since 2004. Guy has been Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Belhaven College since 2002. He and his wife, Sarah, have three children: Lydia, Phoebe, and Thomas. Guy and Sarah were a vital part of Tenth Presbyterian Church when they were in Philly, as they are now here in Jackson at First Presbyterian.

Guy is prolific, and his superb work on Paul's use of Deuteronomy is now in print: The End of Deuteronomy in the Epistles of Paul (Mohr Siebeck, 2006).

Guy's book publications (authored or edited) include Justification and the New Perspectives on Paul (P&R, 2004), The Federal Vision and Covenant Theology: A Comparative Analysis (P&R, 2006), and By Faith Alone: Answering the Challenges to the Doctrine of Justification (Crossway, 2007).
