More trouble brewing for confessional presbyterians?

Stunning news in an artilce in January's Reformed Man Today (RMT) magazine, pasted below:

Surgeons today announced the first successful administration of the Lord’s Supper to an embryo. On 10.44 am, at St Dave the Paediatrician Hospital in Nuremberg, southern Montana, Rev Professor Richard `Dickie’ Mint, gynaecological elder of the Reformed Covenant Church of Truth first performed an `amniotic baptism’ by pronouncing the baptismal formula over the stomach of twenty-four year old Mary-Beth Gibson, who is six months pregnant, and then using keyhole surgery managed to feed the embryo microscopic amounts of consecrated bread and wine. It is seen by many as major breakthrough in covenant life practice who have been hoping for the advent of foeto-communion for some time.

Outspoken advocate of the so-called Foetal Vision, Rev Mick `the Maramaliser’ Marmalade, declared that, finally, the church was taking the covenant, along with passages such as Jeremiah 1 verse 5 seriously. Asked what he and his fellow Foetal Vision colleagues would do now, he declared that `if it becomes clear that we have a majority in the church courts, I would say to our opponents “Yo, you bunch of spineless apostate losers! Charge us if you think you’re hard enough. And Ligon Duncan – if you’re out there, just bring it on, man, BRING IT ON!!!!!”    If, on the other hand, it emerges that we don’t seem to have a majority in the church and might lose our jobs as a result of unconfessional practice and belief, I would plead with our brothers, in the love of Christ, to show forth Christian love in unity, to acknowledge the rich diversity of the Reformed tradition, and to walk together with mutual care and respect, and live at peace for the sake of the kingdom.’

Ligon Duncan was unavailable for comment.
